Memorial Hospital for Children in partnership with The Children’s Hospital was founded upon the belief that all children need a hospital just for them. They have unique developmental, emotional and physical needs. So, their care is best when it's targeted and specialized.

With our partnership, The Children's Hospital and Memorial Hospital for Children are able to come together through shared best practices, expertise and resources to provide enhanced care for all of Colorado Springs' kids.

We are also the only two National Association of Children's Hospital and Related Institutions (NACHRI) designated and nationally recognized children's hospitals in Colorado. Seamless collaboration between Memorial Health System and The Children’s Hospital for Memorial Hospital for Children involves staff, physicians and programs which enhances the timeliness of shared information, patient transfers and medical consults, particularly for those chronically ill children who may require specialized services. It also means having one voice for children throughout Colorado.

For the Colorado Springs community, this partnership means providing more of the best and brightest medical professionals, nationally and internationally recognized programs, the most advanced care and technology and a complete range of pediatric specialties.

Future Growth
With the debut of a children’s hospital within Memorial Health System, in December, 2007, we opened a 300,000 square foot addition to Memorial Hospital Central at 1400 E. Boulder. This addition is now home to our expanded and centralized children's services—Memorial Hospital for Children, as well as enhanced women’s/maternity services and an Emergency Department.
